"Arthdal Chronicles 2" Stars Say Goodbye Ahead Of Tonight's Finale
As tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles 2” winds to a close, the stars of the drama shared their thoughts ahead of tonight’s finale!
“Arthdal Chronicles” is an epic fantasy drama about the mythical ancient land of Arth. Four years after the end of the first season, the series returned for its second season—entitled “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon”—last month.
Lee Joon Gi, who took over the dual roles of twins Eun Seom and Sa Ya this season, remarked, “I’m happy and proud to be able to wrap up the meaning of this beautiful universe.”
“It was truly an honor to be able with the director, writer, and the rest of the hard-working staff,” he continued. “To our actors, I love you and thank you.”
Shin Se Kyung, who took over the role of Tan Ya for Season 2, commented, “I’m reminded of the countless times I laughed and cried together with Tan Ya. For me personally, [filming this drama] was a truly precious time during which I was able to learn and feel many
She went on to add, “I sincerely hope that the time viewers spent with ‘Arthdal Chronicles 2’ will be remembered in your hearts as a good experience.”
Jang Dong Gun, who returned to reprise his role as Ta Gon, shared, “We worked hard on filming for a very long time, but I was really happy to be able to play Ta Gon, who was a very cool character.”
He went on, “I’m extremely thankful and grateful that I was able to have fun and enjoy the entire time I worked together with a great director and the best staff ever.”
Finally, Kim Ok Bin—who reprised her role as Tae Al Ha—shared, “We all worked really hard during filming, braving the cold on cold days and suffering the heat on hot days, rolling around in mud and falling into water while sweating together. Because we worked so hard, we had even more affection for the drama, and we immersed ourselves in the story even more deeply.”
“Even though it was physically exhausting,” she continued, “every time I went to the filming set, I would find myself gaining new strength and laughing a lot, as if I’d never been tired at all.”
The final episode of “Arthdal Chronicles 2” will air on October 22 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
