Stray Kids Becomes 2nd K-Pop Artist Ever To Earn Gold RIAA Certifications In U.S. For Both Album And Single
Stray Kids has gone gold in the United States with their latest album!
On October 27 local time, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded Stray Kids’ album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” an official gold certification for over 500,000 units sold in the United States.
“★★★★★ (5-STAR)” is Stray Kids’ first album ever to be certified by the RIAA—and it marks their second RIAA certification overall, following their gold certification for their 2020 hit song “God’s Menu” from earlier this month.
With this achievement, Stray Kids has become only the second K-pop artist in history (following BTS) to earn RIAA certifications for both an album and a single.
Stray Kids is also only the third K-pop artist ever to have an album certified gold in the United States at all, following BTS and TXT.
Congratulations to Stray Kids on their exciting achievement!
