HYBE Denies Rumors About BTS Members Frequenting Establishment Linked To G-Dragon And Lee Sun Gyun
HYBE has firmly denied rumors about two members of BTS frequenting the establishment where Lee Sun Gyun and BIGBANG’s G-Dragon are alleged to have used drugs.
Earlier this week, BIGHIT MUSIC denied rumors about BTS that began to circulate online following the news that G-Dragon was booked on drug-related charges. The agency also announced that it would be taking legal action against false rumors about the group.
However, after this initial denial, YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute posted a new video claiming that two members of BTS were regulars at the hostess bar that has been linked to G-Dragon and Lee Sun Gyun’s alleged drug use.
On October 28, BIGHIT MUSIC’s parent company HYBE followed up with a new statement denying any connection between BTS members and the establishment in question.
“The rumors that are circulating about our artist and a specific location are not true at all,” stated HYBE. “The BTS members do not know the establishment in question, and they have never been there.”
“We are responding to the spreading of falsehoods and the defamation of [our artist’s] character with a no-tolerance policy, and we are taking both civil and criminal legal action,” they continued. “We have already begun taking legal action against groundless falsehoods about our artist.”
Meanwhile, G-Dragon has personally denied using drugs, and he has promised to “actively cooperate” with police investigations.
