BTS's Jungkook Sweeps iTunes Charts All Over The World With "GOLDEN" And "Standing Next To You"

BTS’s Jungkook is dominating iTunes charts across the globe with his first-ever solo album!

On November 3 at 1 p.m. KST, Jungkook released his highly-anticipated solo album “GOLDEN” and its title track “Standing Next to You.” Immediately upon their release, both the album and the song shot to the top of iTunes charts in numerous countries around the world.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, by 9 a.m. KST on November 4, “GOLDEN” had already reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 77 different regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, and Japan.

Meanwhile, “Standing Next to You” had hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 71 different regions, including Greece, Poland, and Qatar.

“Standing Next to You” also made a strong debut at No. 7 on Melon’s Top 100 chart in Korea, before rising to a peak of No. 4 at midnight on November 4.

Additionally, not only did “GOLDEN” become the first solo album in Hanteo history to sell over 2 million copies on the first day of its release, but it also managed to break the record for the highest first-week sales of any solo album in just one day.
