Lim Ji Yeon And Choo Young Woo Confirmed To Star In New Historical Drama
Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo will be starring in a new drama together!
On December 6, JTBC’s new drama “Tale of Mrs. Ok” (literal title) announced the casting of Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo as the leads.
“Tale of Mrs. Ok” is a drama that tells the fierce survival and success stories of a female slave in the Joseon Dynasty who fakes her name, status, and even her husband.
Lim Ji Yeon will take on the role of Ok Tae Young, a female attorney in Joseon. Ok Tae Young is loved by everyone because she helps others even in difficult situations. However, her name, identity, and even her husband are all fake.
Choo Young Woo will play Cheon Seung Hwi, who risks his life to protect Ok Tae Young. Cheon Seung Hwi covers his face with a veil and travels around the country reciting novels to people. He falls in love with Ok Tae Young at first sight when he meets her by chance and supports her wholeheartedly even after he finds out about her true identity.
The production team remarked, “There are various stories in the world that cannot be simply divided into right and wrong. ‘Tale of Mrs. Ok’ is a drama that deals with the stories of such people. Please look forward to the synergy between actors Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo who will add authenticity to the lives of Ok Tae Young and Cheon Seung Hwi, who had no choice but to live under other people’s name.”
