IU's New MV Co-Starring V Revealed To Have Been Directed By "Concrete Utopia" Director
IU has also teamed up with a star director for her upcoming music video!
On December 7, industry insiders reported that director Um Tae Hwa of the film “Concrete Utopia” helmed IU’s comeback music video co-starring BTS’s V.
In response to the reports, IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment shared, “Director Um Tae Hwa of the film ‘Concrete Utopia’ was in charge of direction, and they finished filming.” The agency added, “IU is currently busy wrapping up filming for ‘You Have Done Well’ (literal title, written in the Jeju dialect).”
Earlier on December 5, it was reported that IU completed filming her upcoming music video with BTS’s V prior to his upcoming enlistment, drawing attention. EDAM Entertainment also remarked that IU’s new album is being prepared with the aim of being released in the first half of next year.
IU and director Um Tae Hwa previously worked together on the video production for IU’s 10th anniversary concert in 2018. Back at the time, director Um Tae Hwa revealed that IU suggested they work together after watching his film “Forest.”
