"My Demon" And "The Story Of Park's Marriage Contract" Earn Their Highest Ratings Yet As "Maestra: Strings Of Truth" Premieres
The weekend drama ratings battle is heating up!
On December 9, several popular dramas soared to their highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, MBC’s “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” jumped more than 2 full percentage points for its sixth episode, which approached the double digits for a new all-time high of 9.6 percent.
SBS’s “My Demon”—which airs in the same time slot as “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”—also climbed to its highest ratings yet for its own sixth episode, which scored a nationwide average of 4.7 percent.
KBS 2TV’s “Korea-Khitan War” similarly set a new personal record with its latest episode, which earned an average nationwide rating of 8.9 percent.
Meanwhile, tvN’s new drama “Maestra: Strings of Truth”—which shares a time slot with “Korea-Khitan War”—premiered to a promising start. The first episode of the new series starring Lee Young Ae scored a nationwide average of 4.2 percent, beating the premiere ratings of its predecessor “Castaway Diva” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot, which premiered to a nationwide average of 3.2 percent).
JTBC’s new romance drama “Welcome to Samdalri” maintained its average nationwide rating of 5.3 percent for its third episode, while KBS 2TV’s “Live Your Own Life” remained the most-watched show of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 16.7 percent.
