Cho Yi Hyun Offers Comfort To A Distressed Rowoon In “The Matchmakers”

KBS2’s “The Matchmakers” has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“The Matchmakers” tells the story of the meeting between the young widower Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) and young widow Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun) as well as the struggle the two go through together to marry off Joseon era’s unmarried women and men who are considered older than the typical prime age range.

In the previous episode, Shim Jung Woo discovered that Jung Soon Deok was the daughter-in-law of Left State Councilor Jo (Lee Hae Young). In an effort to prevent Jung Soon Deok from being implicated in her in-laws’s treason case, Shim Jung Woo decided to break up with her.

The newly released stills depict a poignant moment as Jung Soon Deok provides solace to the troubled Shim Jung Woo. With a bowed head and slouched shoulders, Shim Jung Woo reveals an unexpectedly somber side, a stark contrast from his usual charisma and chic demeanor.

On the other hand, Jung Soon Deok casts an affectionate gaze his way and maintains her positive attitude. After attentively listening to Shim Jung Woo’s sentiments, Jung Soon Deok also offers a daring solution. Viewers are left in suspense, eager to unravel the reason behind the unexpected reunion of the seemingly parted couple and what happened to Shim Jung Woo.

The production team commented, “This scene will offer both a surprising twist and evoke a flutter in viewers’ hearts.
