Previously on “Welcome to Samdalri,” it became painfully obvious that both Sam Dal and Yong Pil still had feelings for each other—but due to their circumstances, the two exes remained unable to act on those feelings.
However, in newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, all that pining and heartache seems to have finally reached its breaking point.
When Yong Pil grabs Sam Dal by the wrist, the depth of the emotions they feel for one another is clearly visible in their pained expressions. As they gaze at each other longingly, the couple slowly closes the distance between them—and Sam Dal eventually takes Yong Pil’s face in her hand as she tenderly leans in for a kiss.
The “Welcome to Samdalri” production team teased, “In today’s episode, the heartache suffered by Yong Pil and Sam Dal, who had been swimming in a whirlwind of emotions, will finally explode. Please stay tuned to find out whether this will be an opportunity for the two of them to find their way back to each other.”
“What kind of ending lies in store for these childhood friends-turned-lovers, and will they be able to overcome the mighty hurdle that is Yong Pil’s father Sang Tae?” they went on. “Please continue to give their heartbreaking love story lots of interest and love.”
The next episode of “Welcome to Samdalri” will air on December 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
