Hong Ye Ji Encounters New Crisis As Park Ji Hoon Bears Witness In “Love Song For Illusion”
KBS2’s “Love Song for Illusion” has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Love Song for Illusion” is a historical fantasy romance that follows both the heart-fluttering love story and the fierce obsession of Crown Prince Sajo Hyun (Park Ji Hoon), who has an alter ego known as Ak Hee, and Yeon Wol (Hong Ye Ji), a fallen royal descendant who becomes an assassin to avenge her family but inadvertently ends up becoming the crown prince’s concubine.
Spoilers
In the previous episode, Sajo Hyun’s alter ego Ak Hee coincidentally met Yeon Wol at the market and fell in love with her at first sight. The intricate dynamics among the three characters hinted at complexity when Yeon Wol mistakenly identified Ak Hee as the fashion designer Sajo Hyun. The first episode concludes with heightened anticipation as Ak Hee brought Yeon Wol, who infiltrated the palace to assassinate King Sajo Seung (Kim Tae Woo), to his side.
The newly released stills capture an intense and awkward encounter between the two characters on the market street. After waking up in the palace with lost memories, Yeon Wol appears bewildered as she roams the market in the attire of a palace court lady, not her own clothes. This suggests her daring escape from the prince’s side, secretly leaving the palace. Other stills depict her surrounded by unfamiliar and menacing figures, hinting at an imminent crisis.
Viewers are left pondering whether the person observing her with a solemn expression and remaining silent, is Crown Prince Sajo Hyun or his alter ego Ak Hee. As he averts his gaze with a stern expression, a glimpse of restlessness surfaces, unveiling the internal struggle he grapples with while observing Yeon Wol who is in imminent danger. The pressing question arises: Who currently inhabits Sajo Hyun’s body, and can he assist Yeon Wol in her escape?
The next episode of “Love Song for Illusion” will air on January 8 at 10:10 p.m. KST.
