4 Final Moments That Gave Us Closure In Episode 14 Of 'A Good Day To Be A Dog'

After a long and wild journey with many ups and downs as well as some tears and laughs, “A Good Day to Be a Dog” has come to an end! There were definitely moments where there were some doubts about the success of this drama, but in the end, this show proved to be worth the watch and left us with more than one memorable scene to fall in love with. And as we get to the end of the story, without many loose ends to tie, it’s time to say goodbye to the one and only SeoHae couple. Here are four moments that gave this one-of-a-kind drama the closure it needed.

Warning: spoilers from episode 14 below!

1. Han Hae Na and Jin Seo Won going public with their relationship

Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young) and Jin Seo Won (Cha Eun Woo) are closer than ever due to their happy ending. But before that, they must face the inevitable moment of making their relationship official to their coworkers. And as it turns out, they do it in the most unexpected way, where a TV producer appears to cast Seo Won in a show exclusively for single people. This upsets Hae Na, who just walks away, but to everyone’s surprise, it is Seo Won who confidently steps up and announces their relationship to everyone.

What isn’t really a surprise is that all of their coworkers admit to having already known about their romance as they are more than obvious in being all lovey-dovey throughout the year. Luckily, they are congratulated by their friends, who seem relieved that these two will get to be together confidently, though they advise them to not show it too much in front of their students. This whole moment sets the overall tone in which this episode goes as we finally see much more of the romance that many loved about this drama.

2. Jin Seo Won getting over his fear of dogs

One of the most endearing moments from this last episode is seeing Seo Won finally overcoming his fears of dogs as he joins Hae Na to walk some of them as a volunteer. Throughout the drama, it was nice to see more of the shy and cute side of this character rather than his cold and aloof personality that showed up from the beginning. That is probably one of the best things this show gave us. Jin Seo Won is definitely the type of guy who would put himself through fire for his beloved, but he can also be 100 percent a cutie pie who likes to be all lovey-dovey with his girlfriend.

Seeing our SeoHae couple reflect on how much Seo Won has progressed in overcoming his fear and realizing that having each other is a true gift is probably one of the most emotional scenes. The cherry on top of this sweet cake of a finale is when Seo Won adopts a pup and names it Deok Gu, which is exactly the name of Cho Young’s (Kim Yi Kyung’s) late puppy. It’s a brilliant move in the story in order to close the circle in their fate.

3. Lee Bo Kyum and Min Ji Ah saying their final farewell

Though it seemed like we weren’t gonna see anymore of Lee Bo Kyum (Lee Hyun Woo), it was nice seeing Min Ji Ah (Kim Yi Kyung), after bringing back Cho Young’s memories to clarify her death, embarking on a mission to find him and give her final greetings. However petty and mistaken Lee Bo Kyum was with Hae Na and Seo Won, he also deserves a good ending to his tragic love story.

And just as they promised in her past life, they say goodbye on a nostalgic yet peaceful note while they set afloat some sky lanterns. In the end, we don’t get to see if Ji Ah ever reciprocates Choi Yul’s (Yoon Hyun Soo’s) feelings as it was clearly hinted that he likes her. But at least she assures Lee Bo Kyum that she is living well and that he also should move forward with his life.

4. Han Hae Na and Jin Seo Won enjoying their everyday lives

This whole episode was a mix of several funny, emotional, and romantic moments, especially between the main leads. It’s proven by watching the representation of Hae Na’s shadow theater where she tells their incredible love story, a gift prepared for Seo Won’s birthday. Though he can’t see it personally, he sees the recording and gets deeply moved by this.

And just like that, they continue with their everyday lives, dealing with their jobs and the little issues that arise with their families or work, while sharing and cherishing every moment together. Despite this being the end of the drama, Han Hae Na and Jin Seo Won’s story will endure in the memories of those who enjoyed and loved every moment that they gifted us with. Until next time, to the wonderful cast of “A Good Day to Be a Dog”!
