Jo Jung Suk Charismatically Shields Shin Se Kyung From Threats In “Captivating The King”
tvN’s upcoming drama “Captivating the King” has unveiled new stills of Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung!
Penned by “The Crowned Clown” writer Kim Sun Deok, “Captivating the King” will tell the love story of King Yi In (Jo Jung Suk), a miserable monarch who feels empty inside despite his high position, and Kang Hee Soo (Shin Se Kyung), whose initial plot of revenge against him transforms into an unexpected attraction.
Yang Kyung Won takes on the role of Yoo Hyun Bo, the ruthless chief royal inspector who is willing to do anything for wealth and honor.
The newly unveiled stills showcase Prince Yi In shielding Kang Hee Soo amidst a tense street confrontation with Yoo Hyun Bo’s gang.
As he protects Kang Hee Soo with his piercing gaze, even Yoo Hyun Bo and his associates appear intimidated by the commanding aura exuded by Yi In. These new stills provide a glimpse of Prince Yi In’s rugged charm, a facet that has been elusive until this moment.
The production team commented, “Yi In and Kang Hee Soo fateful encounter continues without knowing each other’s true identities. Please look forward to how Yi In will protect Shin Se Kyung from the threats posed by Yoo Hyun Bo and how their relationship transforms through this pivotal moment.”
“Captivating the King” will premiere on January 21 at 9:20 p.m. KST. While waiting, watch a teaser for the drama here!
