MBN’s upcoming drama “Missing Crown Prince” has released photos of the main cast members from the first script reading!
“Missing Crown Prince” is a romantic comedy set in the Joseon era about a crown prince who is kidnapped by the woman who is set to become his wife. While on the run for their lives, romance winds up blossoming between them. The drama will be penned by Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul, the writers of the hit drama “Bossam: Steal the Fate,” which set a new record for the highest viewership ratings in MBN history.
The script reading kicked off with cheerful greetings from director Kim Jin Man and writers Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul followed by passionate words from the five main cast members Suho, Hong Ye Ji, Myung Se Bin, Kim Joo Hun, and Kim Min Kyu.
Suho showcased overwhelming charisma and charm with his stable acting skills and tone of voice that suits his role of the crown prince Lee Geon, who has lived a prosperous life but unexpectedly gets kidnapped and finds himself at a crossroads of fate.
Hong Ye Ji perfectly immersed into her character Choi Myung Yoon, the royal courtier Choi Sang Rok’s daughter who has outstanding skills in horseback riding and medicine, and showcased her acting skills by going back and forth between cheerfulness, sorrow, and seriousness.
Myung Se Bin, who starred in “Bossam: Steal the Fate,” collaborates once again with writers Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul. Myung Se Bin portrays Queen Min Soo Ryun who is gentle by nature. Min Soo Ryun is a character who had to give up her love while trapped in the shackles of her status as the queen.
Kim Joo Hun transforms into Choi Myung Yoon’s father Choi Sang Rok and showcased various charms of his character who can do anything for the ones he loves.
Kim Min Kyu, who portrays Prince Dosung, the eldest son of King Haejong’s second wife, raised anticipation for a complicated love triangle with his elder brother Lee Geon and Choi Myung Yoon.
The production team remarked, “’Missing Crown Prince’ will provide viewers with spectacular entertainment through the characters whose fates are tangled with one another due to the ‘prince kidnapping’ incident. The performances of actors with strong presence and impeccable acting skills were met with applause from the first script reading. Please show lots of interest in the upcoming Joseon rom-com.”
