EXO's Xiumin, WJSN's Exy, Lee Sae On, And Lee Soo Min Confirmed For New Drama

EXO’s Xiumin, WJSN’s Exy, Lee Sae On, and Lee Soo Min will be starring in the new drama “Restaurant Heo” (literal title).

“Restaurant Heo” is a fantasy rom-com about the evens that unfold when Heo Gyun, a figure from Joseon Dynasty, travels 400 years into present time and unintentionally starts a restaurant.

Xiumin will be taking on the role of Heo Gyun, a self-proclaimed genius with fine writing skills and an extraordinary sense of aesthetics. Aware that he’s exceptional, Heo Gyun is full of childlike curiosity and is always full of questions. He was sent to exile by those who criticized him, but he runs away from exile at the news that his seven friends have been accused of treason. Assassins appear in front of Heo Gyun, and he unexpectedly ends up in Yuldoguk.

WJSN’s Exy will be playing Eun Sil, the daughter of a home-cooked meal restaurant that doesn’t even have a sign out in front. Like her mother, Eun Sil is a realist who thinks that they are running the restaurant in vain as she believes home-cooked meals will not make money. Eun Sil is also a character who can’t stand injustice and spits out the truth as they are. One day, she meets Heo Gyun who appears in front of the restaurant while appearing to be a homeless person, causing their relationship to start out rocky.

Lee Sae On and Lee Soo Min will both be taking on dual roles by portraying characters from both the past and present. Lee Sae On will transform into Lee Yi Cheom, a goal-oriented character who will do anything to achieve what he wants, as well as Lee Hyuk, who is the youngest to earn the title of Korean Master Chef as a graduate of one the world’s leading culinary schools.

Lee Soo Min will play the beautiful Mae Chang, who has an artist’s temperament, as well as Jung Mi Sol, who has extensively starred in commercials after debuting as a child actress but harbors a secret no one knows about.

The production team shared, “Heo Gyun’s chaotic adjustment to modern life after somehow time slipping in to present day in ‘Restaurant Heo’ will deliver great fun to viewers. Please look forward to the chemistry between Xiumin, Chu So Jung (Exy), Lee Sae On, and Lee Soo Min, who will portray the story of characters who each harbor their own stories.”
