Jo Jung Suk And Shin Se Kyung Share A Passionate Kiss In 'Captivating The King'

tvN’s “Captivating the King” has shared a sneak peek of Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung’s first kiss!

Penned by “The Crowned Clown” writer Kim Sun Deok, “Captivating the King” tells the love story of King Yi In (Jo Jung Suk), a miserable monarch who feels empty inside despite his high position, and Kang Hee Soo (Shin Se Kyung), whose initial plot of revenge against him transforms into an unexpected attraction.

Spoilers

On the previous episode of “Captivating the King,” Kang Hee Soo nearly had her identity as a woman revealed, but she managed to escape her crisis without being found out. Later, when she pushed Yi In away, he accused her of disliking him and asked if she still blamed him. When Kang Hee Soo denied it, he responded, “Then do you like me? I like you. Mong Woo, I like you.”

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Kang Hee Soo abruptly takes their relationship to the next level by suddenly approaching Yi In and kissing him. At first, Yi In is shocked by her bold advance, but he doesn’t push her away. When they pull apart, Yi In is unable to tear his eyes off her, and she tearfully returns his gaze.

In the next photo, Yi In proves unable to control his growing feelings for Kang Hee Soo as he takes her face in one hand and pulls her in for a passionate kiss.

As Kang Hee Soo is still wearing her male disguise throughout their kiss, it remains to be seen whether Yi In has found out that she is a woman—or whether he still thinks of her as Mong Woo.

“In today’s episode, Kang Hee Soo’s feelings for Yi In, which she has tried hard to suppress for the sake of revenge, will properly explode,” said the drama’s production team. “Please look forward to seeing how romance unfolds between Yi In, whose longing for Mong Woo grows deeper even amidst the rumors about his sexuality, and Kang Hee Soo, who is shaken by her unstoppable feelings.”

The next episode of “Captivating the King” will air on February 10 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
