ENHYPEN To Release Remake Of BTS's "I NEED U" Arranged By Bang Si Hyuk
ENHYPEN is remaking one of BTS’s most beloved hits!
On February 16, BELIFT LAB announced that ENHYPEN would be releasing a remake of BTS’s 2015 hit “I NEED U” for Spotify Singles (a program in which artists record new versions of their own songs, remakes of other artists, or original tracks).
ENHYPEN will be reinterpreting “I NEED U” in their own unique style—and in contrast to the original’s electronic synth sound, their remake will be a quiet acoustic version of the song arranged by HYBE founder and producer Bang Si Hyuk. The group will also be releasing a dance performance of their new version of “I NEED U.”
“[We chose this song because] we want to show a new side of ourselves through a song and performance that has a sentimental vibe,” explained the ENHYPEN members. “We all love this song, so it’s especially meaningful that we can express the story of our K-pop first love through this song. We also heard that this is the first time producer Bang Si Hyuk has agreed to rearrange one of BTS’s songs. We’re honored that he personally participated in the rearrangement.”
ENHYPEN’s new version of “I NEED U” will be released at 1 p.m. KST on February 16 through Spotify Singles.
In the meantime, watch ENHYPEN perform at the 2023 MBC Music Festival on Viki below!
