Watch: Song Joong Ki And Choi Sung Eun Meet At The Lowest Points Of Their Lives In "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" Teaser
Netflix’s new film “My Name is Loh Kiwan” has dropped a new teaser and poster!
Based on Cho Haejin’s novel “I Met Loh Kiwan,” “My Name is Loh Kiwan” tells the love story of North Korean defector Loh Kiwan (Song Joong Ki) and professional shooter Marie (Choi Sung Eun).
The newly released poster features Loh Kiwan and Marie who are looking in different directions. The text that reads, “Unfamiliar land, daunting life,” hints at the harsh and cold reality that the two face at the most precarious moment of their lives in faraway Europe. The text on the bottom that reads, “Do we deserve happiness?” raises curiosity as to how Kiwan and Marie, who are polar opposites, will be able to understand and comfort each other.
In the main teaser that was released along with the main poster, Loh Kiwan leaves for Belgium to receive refugee status, which is his last hope in life. Loh Kiwan’s desperate and exhausted appearance realistically shows the difficult life that he lives as a stranger in an unfamiliar place. Then, Marie, who has lost her reason for living, appears in front of Loh Kiwan. Marie steals Kiwan’s wallet, and the two eventually meet at the police station. Marie learns that the wallet she stole is the only keepsake left by Loh Kiwan’s mother and begins to be attracted to him, who appears to be similar yet different from herself.
