"Exhuma" Surpasses 8 Million Moviegoers In Less Than 3 Weeks
“Exhuma” continues to make waves at the Korean box office!
“Exhuma” is an occult mystery film about two exorcists (played by Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun), a mortician (Yoo Hae Jin), and a feng shui master (Choi Min Sik) who relocate mysterious graves in exchange for a hefty sum of money.
On March 10, SHOWBOX announced that “Exhuma” surpassed 8 million moviegoers along with celebratory photos of the crew. SHOWBOX further shared that this new achievement marks the first time in eight years in which a February premiere film surpassed 8 million moviegoers.
The film also hit the 8 million mark on the 18th day of its release—meaning it reached the milestone approximately one week faster than “12.12: The Day,” which was Korea’s biggest box office hit of 2023.
Earlier on March 8, “Exhuma” became first Korean occult horror film in box office history to surpass 7 million moviegoers.
