IVE, ITZY, NMIXX, And NewJeans Earn Circle Double Platinum Certifications; Taemin, TWS, xikers, And More Go Platinum

Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.

NMIXX’s latest mini album “Fe304: BREAK,” ITZY’s studio album “BORN TO BE,” and the Weverse version of NewJeans’ debut EP “New Jeans” were all certified double platinum after selling over 500,000 copies each.

Meanwhile, TWS’s debut mini album “Sparkling Blue,” SHINee’s Taemin’s solo mini album “Guilty,” and xikers’ 2023 mini album “HOUSE OF TRICKY : HOW TO PLAY” all received official platinum certifications for selling 250,000 copies each.

Over in the streaming category, IVE’s 2022 smash hit “LOVE DIVE” was certified double platinum after surpassing 200 million streams.

Kassy earned two certifications this month: her 2018 hit “The day was beautiful” was certified double platinum after reaching 200 million streams, while her 2019 hit “Story of night fall” went platinum after hitting 100 million streams.

Finally, V.O.S’s “Again” was certified platinum for surpassing 100 million streams.
