Watch: DAY6's Young K, Apink's Jeong Eun Ji, And More Share Criteria In New Vocal Audition Show 'Girls On Fire'

JTBC’s upcoming female vocal group audition program “Girls on Fire” has dropped a new teaser!

Helmed by the production team of “Phantom Singer” and “Super Band,” “Girls on Fire” plans to discover talented musicians and create a female vocal group. Jang Do Yeon will be the MC for the show, while Yoon Jong Shin, Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko, Sunwoo JungA, Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji, DAY6’s Young K, and choreographer Kinky will join as producers.

In the recently unveiled teaser, Young K sets the tone by questioning, “Wouldn’t the standards for ‘Girls on Fire’ be different?” He then elaborates on the qualities he seeks in contestants, emphasizing the need for both vocal prowess and stage presence, essentially an all-around artist.

Yoon Jong Shin adds, “The ideal contestant would captivate you from the very first listen.” Echoing similar sentiments, Jeong Eun Ji expresses her desire for voices that linger in the mind long after the song ends. Lastly, Gaeko shares, “[I’m looking for] people whom you’d want to make music with. That’s probably the thing all the producers look for the most.
