Watch: “I-LAND2 : N/A” Producers Introduce Signal Song In New Teaser + BLACKPINK's Rosé To Feature In Performance Video

BLACKPINK’s Rosé will be featured in a special video for Mnet’s upcoming girl group survival show “I-LAND2 : N/A”!

Unlike the first season of Mnet’s survival show “I-LAND,” which was produced in collaboration with HYBE and gave rise to the boy group ENHYPEN in 2020, the upcoming second season will be a collaboration with longtime YG Entertainment producer Teddy and his agency THEBLACKLABEL. In addition to actor Song Kang starring on the show as a Storyteller, BIGBANG’s Taeyang, dancers Monica and Lee Jung as well as producer 24 and VVN will star as producers and performance directors for “I-LAND2 : N/a.”

On March 28, Mnet unveiled a new teaser featuring Teddy, 24, and VVN introducing the show’s signal song, “FINAL LOVE SONG.” Describing it as a song personally produced by THEBLACKLABEL, Teddy stated, “It’s a song that samples ‘The Final Countdown,’ and when you listen to it, you’ll feel the tension, fierceness, and grandeur.”

Music producer VVN also explained the meaning behind the signal song, saying, “When pursuing a dream, one doesn’t have the luxury to love the obstacles they face, so the signal song is like saying ‘this is my last love song’ to those obstacles.” 24 remarked, “I think it also fits the feeling of applicants challenging the world for the first time. It’ll be more enjoyable if you listen to it while imagining what kind of group will be born through ‘I-LAND2: N/a.'”

Notably, although not mentioned in the teaser, Mnet has confirmed that BLACKPINK’s Rosé will feature in the signal song’s performance video and collaborate with the 24 contestants. However, while the performance video featuring Rosé is set to be released on April 4 at 6 p.m. KST, the music will be available on music platforms on the same day, but only in the 24-contestant version.
