Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, And Yoon Hyun Soo Make A Tight-Knit Squad In 'Chief Inspector 1958'

“Chief Detective 1958” has unveiled new stills of the upcoming episode!

MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958” is the prequel to the classic Korean series “Chief Inspector,” which ran for 18 years from 1971 to 1989 and achieved an incredible peak of 70 percent ratings back in its heyday. While the original show was set in the 1970s and 1980s (present day at the time), “Chief Detective 1958” is set even earlier, in 1958. Lee Je Hoon plays a younger version of the titular chief detective Park Young Han, who was played by Choi Bool Am in the original series.

The newly released stills depict the four detectives including Park Yong Han, Kim Sang Soon (Lee Dong Hwi), Cho Kyung Hwan (Choi Woo Sung), and Seo Ho Jung (Yoon Hyun Soo) standing in the way of a group of paupers roaming the alley of Jongnam Market. Investigation Team 1 has been tasked with taking care of the paupers, but for some reason, they have white powder over their lips. Viewers are curious to find out how Park Young Han and the other detectives will take care of this new task.

More stills depict the detectives looking very serious as they carry out a furtive plan at Park Young Han’s boarding house rather than Jongnam Police Station, making viewers wonder if they’re trying to escape someone’s scrutiny. In particular, the large map laid out in front of them hints at the discovery of something grand.

The next episode of “Chief Detective 1958” airs on April 26 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
