Kim Hee Sun Is A Family Counselor With Concerns Of Her Own In Upcoming Drama 'Bitter Sweet Hell'

MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Bitter Sweet Hell” has released new stills featuring Kim Hee Sun!

“Bitter Sweet Hell” is a black comedy starring Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, the top family psychiatrist in all of Korea. When an anonymous blackmailer puts her career and family at risk, Noh Young Won teams up with her mother-in-law Hong Sa Gang (Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect their family.

Noh Young Won is Korea’s most famous family counselor, who is loved by the general public, but she struggles to maintain her seemingly perfect family, which has its own share of petty problems just like any other family.

The newly released stills capture psychologist Noh Young Won focused on counseling her patients at her clinic. Noh Young Won in her doctor’s gown makes warm eye contact with her patient.

However, when the counseling is finished, Noh Young Won looks serious with her arms crossed and checks something on her cell phone.

Kim Hee Sun shared, “In order to portray an image of a trustworthy psychological counselor, I tried to act with a low and calm tone of voice. I also paid attention to vocalization, pronunciation, and even the speed of the lines.”

The production team remarked, “Kim Hee Sun repeatedly analyzed and researched her character Noh Young Won, who will lead ‘Bitter Sweet Hell,’ and brought her unique color into it.
