BLACKPINK's Jennie Makes Billboard Hot 100 History As 1st Korean Female Soloist To Chart A Song For 20 Weeks
BLACKPINK’s Jennie has set a new record on Billboard’s Hot 100!
On May 14 local time, Billboard revealed that “One of the Girls”—Jennie’s collab with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp from their HBO series “The Idol”—was now spending its 20th week on the Hot 100 at No. 97.
With this achievement, Jennie has become the first Korean female soloist in history to chart a song for 20 weeks on the Hot 100—and only the second overall, following PSY.
The only other song by a K-pop soloist to spend 20 weeks on the Hot 100 is PSY’s iconic hit “Gangnam Style,” which charted for 31 weeks after going viral in 2012.
Outside of the Hot 100, “One of the Girls” held steady at No. 29 in its 31st week on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 43 in its 29th week on the Global 200.
Congratulations to Jennie on her historic feat!
