Lee Jung Eun, Bae Hae Sun, Jung Jae Sung, And More Are Unlikely Co-Workers In "Miss Night And Day"
Upcoming JTBC drama “Miss Night and Day” has shared stills of its colorful cast of senior interns!
“Miss Night and Day” is a romantic comedy about Lee Mi Jin, a young job seeker who suddenly finds herself trapped in the body of a 50-year-old woman named Im Soon, and a skilled prosecutor who becomes entangled with her. The drama is helmed by director Lee Hyeong Min of the hit series “I’m Sorry, I Love You” and “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.”
The newly released stills depict Im Soon (Lee Jung Eun) and her fellow senior interns Seo Mal Tae (Choi Moo In), Geum Gwang Seok (Kim Jae Rok), Na Ok Hee (Bae Hae Sun), Go Na Heun (Choi Bum Ho), and Baek Cheol Gyu (Jung Jae Sung).
In the drama, Lee Mi Jin (Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji), who has been preparing for the civil service exam for eight years, suddenly ages into her 50s overnight due to extreme job stress. Amidst this unexpected mishap, she seizes the opportunity of the Seohan District Office’s senior intern recruitment announcement, successfully landing the job she desperately wanted under the fake name Im Soon and thus beginning the second chapter of her life.
At the Seohan District Office, there are many senior citizens who, like Im Soon, dream of starting a new life through the senior intern program. With their know-how accumulated through many years of social life and their passion that does not fade even with the passage of time, these seniors will ignite passion in the hearts of viewers as well.
First, Seo Mal Tae and Geum Kwang Seok are the official rivals of the Seohan District Office. Seo Mal Tae, a proud retired police officer, and Geum Gwang Seok, a failed businessman who constantly talks about his past, clash at every turn. Their daily squabbles promise to add small but significant excitement to Im Soon’s work life.
Na Ok Hee, the only other female intern aside from Im Soon, is a well-mannered and elegant lady. Her ultimate goal in the little time left in her life is to marry a wealthy widower for financial security in her old age. She is more interested in her marriage schemes than in her work, which makes her the target of the other senior interns’ reproach. It remains to be seen whether Na Ok Hee will be able to find her desired husband among the interns.
Intern Go Na Heon, a former soldier who injured his leg in a training accident, is physically disabled but has a straightforward and sincere personality. He is happy to be able to work and tries his best to do his job, but his unexpected and unorthodox behavior will baffle the people in the district office.
Baek Cheol Gyu, a former successful surgeon who lost his wife long ago, becomes the target of Na Ok Hee’s advances. Attention is focused on whether Na Ok Hee’s one-sided affection for Baek Cheol Gyu will become mutual.
“Miss Night and Day” will premiere on June 15 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
