Netflix’s upcoming drama “The Whirlwind” has shared a new poster and teaser!

“The Whirlwind” depicts a conflict between a prime minister who is determined to assassinate the president in order to root out corruption and a deputy prime minister who is determined to stop him and seize power.

Sol Kyung Gu will take on the role of Prime Minister Park Dong Ho, who wants to change the political scene and punish the president who colluded with conglomerates. Kim Hee Ae will play Jeong Soo Jin, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, who climbed to the top of the political ladder with her intelligence and strong convictions.

The newly released poster captures the intense conflict between Park Dong Ho and Jeong Soo Jin. Park Dong Ho, who decides to assassinate the president to wipe out corrupt forces, and Jeong Soo Jin, who tries to stop him at all costs to gain greater power, are both shown with determined expressions, foreshadowing their relentless power struggle.

Additionally, the burning paper in the center of the poster hints at the fierce whirlwind that will begin the moment the president’s heart stops, piquing curiosity about who will emerge victorious in this high-stakes political game.

The accompanying trailer begins with Park Dong Ho, who decides to cause a whirlwind after witnessing the corruption of those who once promised a fair and just world. Park Dong Ho, Jeong Soo Jin, and the president all entered politics together wanting to create a just society, but after entering the Blue House, the President and Jeong Soo Jin became corrupt, and Park Dong Ho now points his blade at his former comrades.

After the president is seen clutching his heart and collapsing, the trailer gives viewers a glimpse of the intense rivalry between Park Dong Ho, who cannot stand the corrupt world and wishes to destroy it, and Jeong Soo Jin, who will stop at nothing to stand in his way and seize power for her own ambition. In one scene, Park Dong Ho is heard confessing, “I assassinated the president,” while in another, Jeong Soo Min asks Park Dong Ho, “Just how far are you planning to go?” He responds, “One step further than you.”

The trailer concludes with Park Dong Ho, who would rather turn the world upside down than be ruled by unrighteous people, inviting others to come with him to hell.
