DAY6's Young K Steps Down As DJ Of "Kiss The Radio" + MONSTA X's I.M Reported To Take Over
DAY6’s Young K will be stepping down from his role as the DJ of KBS CoolFM’s “Kiss the Radio”!
On June 18, JYP Entertainment announced that Young K would be leaving his DJ position on KBS Cool FM’s “DAY6’s Kiss the Radio” with his final live broadcast on June 28, followed by a pre-recorded show airing on June 30.
On the same day, XportsNews reported that MONSTA X’s I.M will be taking over the spot as Young K’s successor.
However, in response to the report, KBS briefly shared, “The new DJ has not been confirmed yet.”
Young K first became the DJ of “DAY6’s Kiss the Radio” in November 2020. In October 2021, Young K stepped down due to his military enlistment. After completing his service in April 2023, Young K returned to the show in June 2023.
I.M previously showcased his hosting skills as a regular host for Naver NOW’s “Midnight Idol Season 2” alongside fellow MONSTA X member Kihyun from 2021 to 2022.
“Kiss the Radio” is a KBS CoolFM radio show that first premiered in April 2004. It airs every night at 10 p.m. KST.
