Announcing... Soompi Ulzzang 2011!

The wait is over… Soompi Ulzzang 2011 is finally here! We are excited to announce the ongoing participation of Sidus HQ’s CAST (Casting Audition and Star Training) program. In fact, Sidus HQ was so impressed by the quality of the contestants from last year’s Ulzzang contest that they requested to interview the top eight finalists, rather than just the winners and the first runners-up. So your chances of being discovered by one of the leading Korean entertainment agencies have just doubled! In addition, the top male and female winners will each receive a $100 gift certificate from iTunes and a mixed package of Soompi goods. So get out your cameras and take your best shots!
Registration
Registration begins now and will end on Sunday, November 20, 11:59 PM KST. Here’s the process:
- Your official entry will consist of one photo of yourself, at least 400 pixels in width and height. Please make sure it is both flattering and accurate. The photo must be full-color and show your entire face. You must be the only subject in the photo (no other people allowed).
- The second photo will be used for verification purposes only and will not be displayed publicly. It will be a photo of yourself holding a handwritten sign which reads “Soompi Ulzzang 2011” and username@soompi.
2. Upload these photos to a host (e.g., Soompi, Photobucket, Tinypic, Imageshack, etc.).
3. PM (private message) the links to these photos to GOOMBA.
We will launch the voting platform sometime during the week of November 20th. The contest will be elimination-style, with several rounds divided by gender; the number of rounds will depend on the number of entries we receive.

Sidus HQ is one of the leading entertainment management companies in Korea. Their celebrity roster includes Jay Park, Jang Hyuk, Song Joong Ki, Han Ye Seul, and Cha Tae Hyun. Sidus HQ’s CAST is the company’s training program, where celebrities and amateurs alike come to hone their acting, singing, and dancing skills. About Soompi Ulzzang
We hold the Soompi Ulzzang contest every year. What started as a small informal competition in the members 411 forum grew over time into an annual tradition with hundreds of participants and the ongoing sponsorship of Sidus HQ. However, the concept remains the same – simply put, it’s a looks contest. Members vote for the contestants they find the best-looking, and after several rounds, the top-voted male and female are awarded the prize!
