[Event Recap] EXO Warms Up the Stage at MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013
Ever since EXO was announced to attend the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013, there was a frenzy to get tickets. Fans awaited the group at the airport upon their arrival and some even slept at the airport because EXO-M arrived at night and EXO-K arrived the next morning after finishing a performance in the Philippines.
Even the rain couldn’t dampen and bring down the fever EXO caused, as they danced and howled through the masses of fans during the show-stopping performance. EXO fans had been lining up since Friday night in hopes of meeting their beloved artists. They were not disappointed as the band enjoyed a short chat with elated fans and expressed their love for the host country of Malaysia.
Apart from “Wolf,” EXO also performed “History,” “365” and “Growl,” much to the delight of their fans. MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013 was EXO’s first performance in Malaysia together as one unit, and also their first time on MTV.
EXO fans came from all over the country to see them perform. We also spotted a few Korean fans carrying cameras to take pictures. Unfortunately, some were rude to the local audience that came to enjoy the concert. It was also disheartening to see almost half of the audience walk away after EXO’s performance.
MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013 took place last weekend at Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon with the stellar line-up of Robin Thicke, Far East Movement, EXO and Joe Flizzow to a live audience of about 15,000 fans.
EXO also took a picture with Far East Movement before the performance and shared it via SMTOWN’s Facebook and gave them a shout-out during their performance.
