Shin Ji Hoon’s “Crybaby” Music Video Is a Tearjerker
Teenage solo star Shin Ji Hoon has released a music video for her comeback single “Crybaby.” The song is the follow-up to “Happy Ending,” which she dropped in May this year.
The song begins with a quiet piano and acoustic guitar accompaniment that builds into a crescendo of sound, and Shin Ji Hoon’s soft vocals befit the vulnerable message conveyed by the lyrics.
The video is also suitably atmospheric. Filmed in what seems to be a single shot, Shin Ji Hoon sits on a stool, singing, while around her, a piano and an apparently abandoned fairground become consumed with flames.
The singer originally won fame as a contestant on SBS’ “Superstar K2,” and went on to sign a contract with Cube Entertainment, the talent agency that also represents artists such as BEAST and 4Minute. She debuted in 2013 with the song “Right Here,” and has also enjoyed sporting success as a figure skater.
