T-ara Drops "Sugar Free" Video ahead of New Mini Album Release
Girl group T-ara has released a music video for the song “Sugar Free,” which is taken from the act’s forthcoming mini album.
The new mini album will be released on September 11, and is the girl group’s first material since the Japanese album “Gossip Girls,” which dropped in May this year. The release will feature five new songs, as well as an instrumental version of “Sugar Free.”
In a musical shift from the 1970s’ revival stylings of 2013’s “Again,” the group has moved to a more modern dance theme for “Sugar Free.”
A representative for the girl group explained, “We decided to make a Big Room track. It is of the EDM [Electronic Dance Music] genre that is getting a lot of attention around the world now. The song and its video are sophisticated and trendy.”
Big Room is a type of high-tempo house music that puts emphasis on heavy basslines, and has been pioneered by DJs and producers such as Axwell and Taiko.
