Roy Kim Reveals Teaser Photo and Release Date for His Second Album, “Home”

It’s been reported that singer Roy Kim will release his second album, “Home,” this coming October 8 at midnight (KST).

The title song of this album will be “Home,” and it will be an emotional folk song filled with sincerity and consolation. It is produced by “I Am a Singer” music director Jung Ji Chan. It also features guitar session Hong Jun Ho, a famous drummer and bassist from the American CCM industry Dan Needham and Gary Lunn, as well as percussionist Eric Darken, who featured in albums by Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift among other artists.

The string arrangement is done by Park In Young, who is currently working as a music producer for American films, and who also happens to have featured in many Korean artists’ albums as well, including Kim Dong Ryul, Yoon Sang, and Park Hyo Shin. Roy Kim’s new album also had help from music engineer Marc Urselli, who has a history of winning three Grammy Awards. Marc Urselli has taken charge of the string orchestra, and finalized a piece that matched well with the autumn season with the “New York String Session Orchestra.”

On September 29, the jacket teaser was released with Roy Kim sitting down in a room while hugging a guitar. This raised fans’ anticipation for the new track, which is expected to express a more mature style by Roy Kim.

Meawhile, Roy Kim will open his solo concerts across five cities in Korea—Seoul, Daegu, Daejun, Busan, Changwon—over the course of October and November of this year.
