Highlights: We Got Married Ep. 251 - Charming Wives

Time for another “We Got Married” highlights! This episode included the continuation of Hong Jong Hyun and Yura‘s trip to Bali, Namgoong Min and Hong Jin Young‘s Christmas Party, and Song Jae Rim and Kim So Eun‘s “Spa Day” and honeymoon planning. Although I love the husbands of this show, today we will be focusing on the current wives of “We Got Married.”

1) Innocent Princess Yura

In last week’s episode, we saw Jong Hyun say, “Princess Yura, I love you!” I think although the two have become super close and comfortable with each other,  Jong Hyun really treats her like a princess. He watched out for her as they continued their ziplining and ropes course. He constantly reminded her to latch herself onto the rope because she kept forgetting. Because it was hot, he even prepared an ice pack for her. He always tries to meet her expectations and standards. He knew that she didn’t like cucumbers, so he made sure that there wasn’t that much of a cucumber flavor before giving her some to try. Yura wanted to go rafting, but because it was raining, Jong Hyun suggested they should go play in the swimming pool instead of going to the ocean. It may not always be in the most obvious and dramatic way, but Jong Hyun always says little things that show his caring heart for her.

The reason why everyone called her innocent was because while they were playing at the pool, there were several times where they tried to see who could hold their breath underwater longer. Every time they tried doing something where it involved going under water, Jong Hyun always stayed up while Yura was under water, thinking that they were doing it together. She continued playing, while Jong Hyun laughed to himself. He was so good at acting that he made it seem like he was under water the whole time. They’re so cute!

2) Hungry, Seductive Jin Young

The couple invited comedian and MC Heo Kyung Hwan and actress Wang Ji Won for a Christmas meeting. But while the two were trying to get to know each other, Jin Young and Min just kept eating and feeding each other, showing off their cute coupleness, which left everyone else just dumbfounded. Even when Jin Young wasn’t feeding her husband, she kept eating herself. I guess she was just really hungry. The couple showed off their couple cuteness as they showed Kyung Hwan and Ji Won how to stare at each other for 10 seconds. They all played the pepero game and Jin Young and Min’s lips even touched, causing the audience to go crazy!

Later on, Min and Jin Young were on their way to Macao! I feel like even though Jin Young doesn’t intend to be sexy, Min just watches her movements and looks at her in a different way. She took off her coat and he just stares in awe. Enter in the sexy music. Min took off her shoes for her and acted like her feet were smelly. Jin Young said that she smelled really good and brought Min in for a hug so that he could smell her neck. Min was just shocked and his heart started pounding. This couple seriously never gets bored when they’re together. They have fun while eating airplane food and feeding each other. They got to ride a luxurious limousine on their way to the hotel. They enjoyed fruit and were flirtatious with each other. Jin Young just comes onto him super quickly which makes him nervous. Jin Young flips her hair as Min tells her that her hair smells really nice. Then he leans in for another hug to smell her hair. Enter in sexy music again. This couple…WOW!

3) Submissive So Eun

Since they officially got married, So Eun wanted to do something  nice for her husband, so she dressed up in a hanbok (Korean traditional dress) and told him that for that day, she would be “Submissive Kim.” She took on the role of a new, submissive bride just for one day. She wanted to do everything for her husband and didn’t want to him to do anything. She brought him coffee and put up their new wedding photo on the wall. She just wanted him to sit there and not move.

So Eun noticed that Jae Rim’s skin wasn’t doing too well, so she wanted to give him a home spa/facial treatment. But of course, there was some kind of twist to this facial treatment. She started off by washing his face in the living room. It would’ve been so much easier if he had just gone to the bathroom to do it himself, but she wanted to do it for him. Then she put on a mud face mask on him to help improve his skin. While he had his eyes closed, she said that she was going to fix his nails for him with a nail treatment. She said that she was putting on a nail essence treatment, when she was really putting on colored polish on his nails. So he ended up with red, blue, gray, and pink nails! He had no clue the entire time.

After So Eun washed the mud pack off of Jae Rim’s face, Jae Rim touched his phone and was shocked to see his painted nails. All he could do was yell, “HEY!” to his wife. But she ended up erasing the polish off his nails. The couple looked through their epic couple pictorial that they took a while back, and So Eun noticed something. She read that he made roses for his past girlfriend and was going to give them to her for their one year anniversary, but they broke up. This caused So Eun to get jealous of his past girlfriend. Good-bye “Submissive So Eun!” Jae Rim said that he would’ve made 1000 for her if he had met her. She said that she didn’t want to be like the other girl and Jae Rim said that he would make it out of 50,000 won (approximately 50 dollars), which made So Eun laugh and smile.

They received a package containing books about Turkey and a mission card stating that they will be going to Turkey for their honeymoon, but that it will be more like a backpacking trip. They started preparing, packing, and planning for their honeymoon. How exciting! They ended their night with a drink from their arrowroot alcohol jar. So Eun was looking forward to their trip because if they went somewhere close by they could just come back home to Korea if they fight. But being in Turkey, they won’t be able to come back so easily. Why am I looking forward to the next episode?
