Crime Drama "Missing Noir M" Spends almost 10 Million Won on Lifelike Dummy
OCN appears to have spared no expense on the special effects for its upcoming crime thriller “Missing Noir M.”
The show stars Kim Kang Woo and Park Hee Soon as detectives who are part of a special force that investigates cases of missing persons. Kim Kang Woo’s character is a genius who worked for the FBI in the United States before returning to Korea to head this special unit. Park Hee Soon plays a veteran detective who is set in his ways and has been solving cases for 20 years.
Following the release of the teaser video in late February, viewers can now catch a glimpse of what to expect from this drama through these photos of one of the dummies on set.
The dummy was made with a mixture of silicone and softener that made the body flexible enough to insert the needles in such a realistic-looking way.
The details are incredibly lifelike, down to the thinnest of hairs and the wrinkles on the soles of its feet.
It took the artists over a month to create it, and it cost almost 10 million won ($8800 USD) to make.
Will you be watching “Missing Noir M” when it premieres on OCN on March 28?
