Shoo Is Preparing for Her Future by Studying Cosmetology

On March 21’s episode of SBS‘s “Oh! My Baby,” Shoo reveals that she became worried about her future after she gave birth because she figured she wouldn’t be able to continue working as a singer.

Shoo was a member of the popular girl group S.E.S, which disbanded in 2002. She then released a solo album in 2010 entitled “Devote One’s Love.” In the same year, she married basketball player Im Hyo Sung and gave birth to her son. She went on to have twins Ra Hee and Ra Yool in 2013.

When talking about what she imagined her life would be like after she had her kids, she admits, “I was concerned that I’d have to spend all my time in the house.” She therefore set her sights on obtaining a certificate in cosmetology.

“I needed some sort of a safety net,” she says. “I thought it would be good if I could start a beauty salon later on.”

In this week’s episode, Shoo studies with her twins Ra Yool and Ra Hee. While she’s looking after the girls, she takes out a mannequin head and works on styling its hair while consulting a textbook.
