"Infinity Challenge" Named Korea's Favorite TV Show
The variety show “Infinity Challenge” has been voted “Korea’s Favorite TV Show” for March.
This was determined by a Gallup poll that asked 1,000 Korean men and women over the age of 19 what show they currently enjoy watching the most.
In the results, “Infinity Challenge” comes out on top with 14% of votes. Its success is attributed to the popularity of two recent specials, one featuring the members taking care of children at a daycare center, and another showing them interviewing celebrity candidates for the role of the sixth member of their team. Also, some male respondents say they voted for the show because of its exciting action scenes.
The special “Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village” comes in second place at 10%. It is particularly popular with women in their thirties, housewives, and white-collar workers.
In third place is “Superman Returns” (7.9%) which is the favorite of a lot of women voters, and in fourth is the talk show “Non Summit” (4.9%), which is enjoyed by young women and students.
“Running Man” rounds off the top five at fifth place with 4.3% of votes.
Interestingly, the survey didn’t specifically ask voters to list variety shows, and yet they fill up most of the top ten spots. The only dramas that made it into the top ten are MBC‘s “Shine or Go Crazy” at eighth place with 2.8% of votes and KBS‘s “Only You My Love” at tenth place with 2.4%.
