Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – May Week 2
EXID’s “Ah Yeah” ended the dominance of EXO’s “Call Me Baby,” moving up a spot to become our new No. 1 song. “Ah Yeah” won on “Inkigayo” for the second week in a row and also topped “Show Champion.” It placed second to “Call Me Baby” in “Music Bank,” “Music Core,” and “M!Countdown.” But “Ah Yeah” scores much better on independent charts this week to take home the No. 1 spot. EXID becomes the first artist to score two No. 1 songs this year. Their viral hit “Up And Down” spent one week on top in January. Congratulations to EXID!
Rounding out the top three is Jinusean’s “Tell Me One More Time,” moving up two spots from No. 5. The duo has not lost any popularity despite an eleven year hiatus.
There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. Moving up 13 spots to No. 8 is San E’s “Me You.” This song is one of the two title tracks from San E’s first full studio album “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” This song is a light-hearted pop style hip-hop track. 15&’s Baek Yerin is the featured vocalist on this song. She also stars in the song’s MV.
One of last year’s top rookie artists is back. Moving up 16 spots to No. 9 is Park Bo Ram’s second top 10 hit “Celepretty.” Park Bo Ram made her solo debut last year with the long running top 10 hit “Beautiful.” Now she is back with her first mini-album “Celepretty.” The title track of the same name has a shuffle rhythm and additive melody. It is Park Bo Ram’s own story about how her life has changed after she becomes famous.
