Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – July Week 3

Despite facing very strong competition, the top two songs remain the same from last week. SISTAR’s “SHAKE IT” and AOA’s “Heart Attack” keep their spots respectively. Even though both songs drop in points, the gap is closer. “SHAKE IT” won on Music Bank and Show Champion last week and remains strong on all chart sources. Congratulations again to SISTAR.

There are three new songs in the top 10 this week, led by BIGBANG’s duo of new hits from their third MADE Series album “D.” The higher ranked song is “Sober,” debuting at No. 3. This song has powerful rock style beat. It describes the challenges young people faces these days. “Sober” won on Inkigayo, M!Countdown, and Music Core last week. It has a good chance to move into the top spot next week.

Moving up 10 spots and scoring their first ever top 10 hit is BTOB’s “It’s Okay.” This is the title song of BTOB’s first full studio album “Complete.” Unlike most male idol groups releasing powerful dance songs in summer, BTOB chooses to release a ballad instead. “It’s Okay” is about providing comfort for people who suffers hardships and feeling exhausted. BTOB members’ beautiful harmony makes this song very touching.

BIGBANG’s second hit “If You” also debuts into the top 10 at No. 6. This song is very different from other BIGBANG songs in the MADE Series. It is a sad rock ballad that every member takes part in singing it. Even though this song doesn’t have a MV and BIGBANG is not performing on music shows, it still makes the top 10.
