Interview: Makeup Artist Pony Talks Zombie Apocalypse, Pink Hair, and More!

Of course, there are plenty of public makeup demos in Korea, but most of them aren’t met with hordes of fans with DSLRs and phone cameras at the ready. That’s because Pony is not just any makeup artist; she’s practically her own brand. She’s written four books, endorsed Etude House and Innisfree, and launched her own line of bestselling cosmetics from Memebox.

The former ulzzang is also a natural at the Instagram game, providing her 850K followers with perfect selfies and shots of herself with Jeremy Scott, Ryu Hyun Jin, and of course, 2NE1’s CL. These days, Pony has been receiving a lot of attention since it was revealed that she’s the secret weapon behind CL’s latest look — but make no mistake, netizens in the know have been aware of Pony for years.
