Fake Casts Are Selling Like Crazy Due to Upcoming Holiday Stress

People are going to extremes in order to get out of their holiday chores.

Recently, on a pregnancy and parenting specific online community, posts about fake casts dominated the board. Most were written by women who were dreading their visit to their in-laws’ and wanted to take advantage of fake casts. However, they said they were afraid to try it out in fear of getting caught because the product had already gone viral last year.

These fake casts are made so that when an arm is stuck into the cast for 20 to 30 minutes, it molds and hardens around the limb, thus making it very realistic.

Those who have actually used the fake cast raved that it looks real and fools many people.

Meanwhile, many showed concern of how society pressures people during holidays to the point where they want to fake their own injury. Others commented that the fake cast went too far.
