Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – November Week 2
f(x) becomes the latest SM Entertainment female artist to top our chart as their new song “4 Walls” jumps 14 spots to No. 1 this week. Since the beginning of September, we’ve seen Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart,” Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb,” and Taeyeon’s “I” topping our chart. f(x) was able to fend off other challengers to keep the top spot for their company and adds another chart topping hit of their own. Congratulations to f(x).
They released their fourth full length album “4 Walls” in late October. The title track, also titled “4 Walls” is a refined house style dance beat song. The lyrics describe the confusion of a person suddenly falling in love, like being trapped around 4 walls. This song won on Music Bank and M!Countdown last week and also scored high on all other chart sources, easily topping our chart this week.
IU’s “Twenty-Three” moves up one spot to No. 2. While the song repeated as a winner on Inkigayo, its overall score was far from“4 Walls.”
Rounding off another week of all female top three is rookie group TWICE’s “Like OOH-AHH.” Despite debuting so late this year, TWICE should get consideration as one of the top new artists of 2015.
