Netizens Are Outraged Over Video of Young Couple Assaulting a Taxi Driver

Netizens are furious at a black box clip that captures a couple in their 20s brutally assaulting a taxi driver.

On December 8, YTN posted a clip of a couple assaulting a taxi driver near Hongdae Station, kicking him and even pulling his hair.

According to the clip, the couple thought his taxi was empty, when he was actually waiting for a passenger who made a reservation. Though the driver tried to explain, the couple stubbornly entered the taxi.

Even when the taxi driver politely asks them to leave when the reservation customer arrives, the couple refuses to get out and rather reports him for refusing passengers.

Then the male proceeds to grab the driver’s collar and violently threatens him. However, his girlfriend calms him down and the two leave.

While the clips seems to have peacefully ended, the couple returns and the male open the driver’s seat to start kicking the taxi driver. When the driver finally fights back, the girlfriend, too, starts assaulting him.

Since the clip has been revealed through social media, angry netizens are asking for a thorough investigation on the incident.
