Breaking: Is 4Minute Disbanding? HyunA Renews Contract, Others Still In Discussion
Industry insiders say that girl group 4Minute will not be staying together after their contracts end around mid-month, which was decided after long discussions between the group and it’s management agency, Cube Entertainment. They say HyunA has re-signed with the agency, but the other members are still in discussions for renewal or leaving the agency.
One industry insider said, “The course that each member is thinking of for their singing and acting careers are different and so after many months of debate, they decided it was hard to keep the group going as it is. HyunA has re-signed, a few are in discussions for renewal, and a few will leave the agency.”
Cube Entertainment confirms that it has only renewed the contract with HyunA so far and other members are still in discussions for renewal. However, it states it is not confirmed that 4Minute is disbanding.
4Minute debuted in 2009 with “Hot Issue” and has seen great success with hits like “What’s Your Name?” “Crazy,” and more. Their most recent release was their seventh mini album “Act. 7.”
