Apink Ascends With "Only One"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2016, October Week 3
Apink’s “Only One” moves up nine spots and takes over as our new No. 1 song this week! This song scores consistently among the top songs on all our chart sources. “Only One” beats last week’s champion, Red Velvet’s “Russian Roulette” after its three week run. Congratulations to Apink!
As mentioned above, Red Velvet’s “Russian Roulette” moved down one spot to No. 2 this week. On the other hand, moving up one spot to No. 3 is indie duo Bolbbalgan Sachoongi’s “Galaxy.”
We have two new songs in the top 10 this week! Both are from very popular male groups. Moving up four spots to No. 8 is GOT7’s “Hard Carry.” This song is the title track from GOT7’s second full length album “Flight Log: Turbulence.” With a powerful hip-hop beat and an 808 bass sound, it solidifies GOT7’s image as a free-spirited group. It settles at No. 8 this week.
Debuting at No. 10 is SHINee’s new song “1 of 1.” This song is the title track of SHINee’s fifth full length album of the same name. Containing elements of the new jack swing genre, “1 of 1” has a retro style, a funky rhythm, and a smooth R&B melody. The eye-catching lyrics are about a guy sharing his one and only love with a girl. “1 of 1” might be the leading contender for the top spot next week!
