BIGBANG Stays On Top With "FXXK IT"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2017, January Week 3
BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” remains No. 1 for the third consecutive week! The gap between this song and the rest of the competition is a lot smaller this week, but “FXXK IT” still managed to hold on to the top spot for another week. It also recorded another two music show wins on “Music Bank” and “M!Countdown” last week. Congratulations again to BIGBANG!
There are three new songs in the top 10 this week, including the No. 2 and 3 songs. Moving up nine spots to No. 2 is Akdong Musician’s new song “Last Goodbye.” This song is one of the two title tracks from Akdong Musician’s album “Adolescence: Part 2.” It is an acoustic ballad with a beautiful melody, and contains lyrics that are about having new goals and a better understanding of life. It specifically mentions that memories from the past are a valuable lesson, no matter how painful they are at the time.
Moving up 12 spots to No. 3 is AOA’s “Excuse Me.” AOA finally released their first full length album “Angel’s Knock” after debuting more than four years ago. “Excuse Me” is one of their double title songs, and is a retro style dance hit with a powerful drum beat and a repetitive synth melody. The lyrics are about a girl who immediately falls in love with a guy she just met.
Veteran male group Shinhwa returns to the top 10 this week with their latest hit “TOUCH.” This is the title track from their 13th album “UNCHANGING – TOUCH.” The song has a catchy melody and is about a former couple who expresses their regrets and heartaches about no longer being together.
