Red Velvet Is On A Roll With "Rookie"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2017, February Week 4
Red Velvet’s “Rookie” remains No. 1 this week! This song once again swept all the music shows and also received a high score on all other chart sources. Congratulations again to Red Velvet!
Moving up 10 spots to take second place is Block B’s latest hit “Yesterday.” This song is written by member Park Kyung, and is an upbeat, punk rock style song that is very different from Block B’s previous hit songs. The lyrics are about a guy who is worried about his girlfriend because she always seems to play dumb whenever he confronts her for doing something wrong.
Rounding out the top three is Zion.T’s “The Song,” staying put at No. 3 this week.
There is only one other new song in the top 10 this week. Debuting at No. 9 is BTS’s “Spring Day.” This is the title song of BTS’s album “Wings: You Never Walk Alone,” and is a hip hop track with elements of rock and an electronic sound. Members Rap Monster and Suga took part in writing the music and lyrics for this song by incorporating their personal experiences of not giving up hope to meet their long time friend again.
