GFRIEND Maintains No. 1 With "Fingertip"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2017, April Week 1
Many songs are vying for the top spot in a wide open competition this week! To our surprise, GFRIEND manages to hold on to No. 1 for the second straight week with “Fingertip.” This song is still looking for its first major music show win, but is receiving lots of love here on the Soompi music chart. Congratulations again to GFRIEND!
Moving up two spots to No. 2 is BTOB’s “Movie.” BTOB is looking for their first No. 1 song on our chart and they came close this week. They also previously reached No. 2 last year with “Remember That.”
Rounding out the top three is Taeyeon’s “Fine,” dropping one spot to No. 3.
There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. Moving up 10 spots to No. 5 is GOT7’s “Never Ever.” This is the title song from GOT7’s latest mini-album “Arrival.” It is an addictive hip hop track with powerful beats, and the lyrics are about finding a true and eternal love. “Never Ever” won on “Music Bank,” “M!Countdown,” and “Show Champion” last week.
Debuting at No. 10 is Highlight’s new song “Plz Don’t Be Sad.” Formerly known as BEAST, the five-member group changed their name to Highlight after setting up their own agency. “Plz Don’t Be Sad” is the title track of Highlight’s comeback mini-album “Can You Feel It?” It is an alternative rock based pop song with an intense EDM sound and an addictive melody. The witty lyrics send a message of warm encouragement from those who are hurt and tired. “Plz Don’t Be Sad” swept Gaon and all the internet charts as soon as it was released. It has a good chance to become our next No. 1 song!
