BLACKPINK Sets New Record After "Playing With Fire" Hits 100 Million Views

On April 11, BLACKPINK’s music video “Playing With Fire” shot past 100 million views, sitting at 100,184,453 views on their official YouTube channel at time of writing.

This is the girl group’s second music video to hit 100 million views after “Boombayah” achieved the milestone earlier this year.

“Playing With Fire” was released November of last year and has taken No. 1 on multiple domestic charts as well as the Billboard “World Digital Song Chart” and other overseas music charts.

BLACKPINK debuted in August 2016, which means that they are the first K-pop group to have two music videos with over 100 million views in less than a year after their debut. At over 98 million views, their music video “Whistle” looks also likely to achieve that mark sometime in the near future.

Yang Hyun Suk, the founder of BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment, congratulated the girls on their achievement through his personal Instagram.
