2NE1 Shares Thoughts on Winning MTV Iggy’s “Best New Band in the World”

MTV Iggy just released the video of their interview with 2NE1, after the group was crowned “Best New Band in the World” earlier today. The group talked about their feelings about winning the award, the type of music they grew up listening to, their fashion style, where they want to perform overseas, and future plans for the remaining year.

With this award, 2NE1 also won a chance to perform in New York City’s Time Square on December 12 at the awards ceremony. More than four million people from 168 countries voted for this award. MTV Iggy’s “Best New Band in the World” is widely considered the first step towards reaching mainstream fans in the States, as Far East Movement also won the award in the past. Congratulations 2NE1!
