BTS Achieves 3 Guinness World Records Titles With "Boy With Luv," Including "Most Viewed YouTube Video In 24 Hours"
BTS – the seven-member Korea boy group dominating music charts around the world – continues to set the bar high with their hit title track – “Boy With Luv” – from their latest album, “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
The music video for “Boy With Luv,” which was released on YouTube April 12, 2019, has been crowned by Guinness World Records as the “Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.” The video was watched a total number of 74.6 million times in the first 24 hours.
The incredible number of views also brought the video above the boundaries of genre, being crowned as the “Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours.”
The third and final record set by “Boy With Luv” is not limited to its genre of K-pop or to its format as a music video. “Boy With Luv” is also the “Most Viewed YouTube video in 24 hours,” setting a new standard for all videos uploaded onto the YouTube platform. “Boy With Luv” is the lead single off of BTS’s sixth EP, “Map of the Soul: Persona.” In addition to setting YouTube records, the single and album have gone on to dominate international and Korean music charts. BTS was also recently named one of “100 Most Influential People Of 2019” by TIME magazine.
